Joe had an irritated left eye yesterday and today so I made an apt. with the ped. To my surprise the Dr. told me he had something stuck on his cornea and made an immediate apt. with a specialist downtown. I took Joe there right away, but the opthamologist did not see anything... he prescribed some drops and sent us home.
Anyone who knows Karl knows he has superhuman vision... so I asked him to take a look. Lo and behold, Karl saw something stuck in Joe's eye. So we went back to the specialist and this time, through some very traumatic manipulation for Joe, he saw the object. We don't know what it is, but we're speculating sand. He is going to call tomorrow morning to schedule a "surgery" (same day) ... Joe will be knocked out for about a minute, which is a little scary for me.
